It's not a secret yet not many people realize this...

This week I wanted to do something a smidge different. I wanted to recap the first three campaigns because, to me, they encompass the most important lesson any B2B marketer can learn.

Get your pen (or pencil) and paper ready. You're gonna wanna write this down.

Ready?

FUN MARKETING CAN BE DONE WITH YOUR OWN PRODUCT.

Here's a bonus lesson:

MARKETING DOESN'T HAVE TO COST* YOU ANYTHING (*except for time).

The first example from Drawbotics (TV shows brought to life) showed us that you can create fun and engaging content using your own product for free. How? They created a blog post and used their owned media (their website, social media) to share it. That's it.

The second example from Shutterstock (This festival was anything but 🔥) also used their own product to show how customers can create amazing videos for a fraction of what it would cost to shoot from scratch AND it was hilarious.

The third example from Lucidchart (Lucidchart ❤️  doggos 🐩 , puppers 🐶  & woofers 🐕) also used their own product and only spent an extra $30 (which they probably could have done without if really necessary).

The moral of the story is, the gold is in using your own product in innovative ways. And whenever that innovative way includes pop culture, it's a win-win.

Test it out yourself and save your marketing dollars for when you know you have a winner on your hands. It's smurf to be worth it.

My question to you is: how can you use your product or service in a different way to showcase its power but also be fun?

If you're stuck, reply to this email and let's brainstorm together.

If you try something, be sure to share it and tag me so I can enjoy it as well (and swipe it for future emails).
